Rebecca departed this earthly life August 8, 2018 at St.Lukes/Baylor Hospital Houston, Texas. Rebecca is preceded in death by Mary Bell Bynock, Grandmother. Jesse Wells, Great Grandmother. Father, Claude William Washburn. She is survived by Her Mother Peggy Wells Johnson. Husband Jerry Payne Burlington, Iowa. Son Lee Payne Dallas City, Illinois. Son Joshua Payne Dallas City, Illinois. Grandchildren: Mia, Alex, Aspen, Destiney and Noah Siblings: Sister, Laughter Spencer Mena, Arkansas. Brother, Buddy Washburn Longview, Texas. Brother, Michael Washburn Alvin, Texas. Brother, Owen Washburn Liverpool, Texas. Sister, Cynthia Thomas Lake Jackson, Texas. Many Nephews and Nieces including Great Nephews and Great Nieces across the United States. Rebecca Ann will be remembered by her family and many friends for her love of home: cooking, cleaning, decorating. She completed many art and craft projects in her life. As an Army wife she gained friends and skills in her travels. Her love and compassion for her grandchildren can be seen in the many photos of them and with them.
